Acts that invite attack in public

Acts that Invite Attack in Public situations:

1. THE LOOK OF THE PERSON, and THE DRESS he is WEARING:

The look of the person, if he has a soft looking face, or if he looks educated
and considerate, and also the dress of a person if he is wearing poor-man
clothes and looks destitute, will invite re-buff, warning, or physical
attack from a attacker on the street. He can classify you as someone
at fault for something, or someone who is generally his enemy
(from previous experiences), and will try to challenge or start a attack.
The attacker is not thinking, so you won't be able to reason with
them.

Regarding "looks", many soft-faced people in history went onwards
to studying guns, and some used them as well against attackers,
thus surprising the attacker.

As a martial artist, after the class is over, you may be walking on
the sidewalk and not thinking of attacking someone, but could be
chosen by some unreasonable person as a victim of his anger.
You may not be able to fight back if you are not prepared. And so
martial art works when we are alert to our surroundings, and you
have to make "martial art" work each day. It does not work by itself.

In America the poor people attack each other. In other countries the poor
people join with each other. It is because Americans used to live separated
from each other, and go about separated (in cars, in office, in home watching
TV, etc.). And so many are not used to being a "community".

In some places like Santa Barbara, off-spring of the rich people living there
do not want to see any homeless or poor-looking person walking about.
And so there are usually incidents of attack on the poor people by
rich kids and there was also an incident where the rich kids burnt and
murdered a man sleeping outside. The rich kids of the very rich live
in a different reality. Again a separation of classes and of perceptions.

2. WHO YOU SPEAK TO CAN INVITE A ATTACK:

Once I went to a mosque and was wearing black pajamas and black shirt.
The leader of the mosque asked me why I was wearing black because
it was a bad color and everyone should wear "white" because it was
a "clean" color. I was surprised by this kind of logic. I tried to explain about
American style civil rights, but he couldnt understand, after which I told
him he will understand when I shove him back into his mother. Which surprised
the whole congregation for using language like that in a holy place,
and everyone attacked me with punches and kicks.
Needless to say, that brought an end to my mosque-going forever, and
now I believe in God being accessible everywhere and not thru organized religion.

And so we cannot speak the truth, and even what may be good for
a person, in front of someone who is Nationalist or Religious. I see the whole
world being programmed by some organisations at the top. Whole groups of
people programmed, and we have to be careful.

You also cannot speak the truth, even what is good for the person or for
all the person around, in front of someone who is on the way to Personal Ambition
for his personal success and victory. Because such a person does NOT care for
other people, and uses cleverness to come to top and in control.

3. GOING INSIDE BUILDINGS WITH CROWD INSIDE:

Going to discos, night-clubs, where towards the end of the night individuals
may be in surprised and agitated moods, can be dangerous for anyone, whether
martial artist or not martial artist. A guy going there in the evening thinking he
will meet a girl, then girls re-buffing him, then he standing there all night
looking at people, or even a guy who is successful with girls and then
thinking of himself as a hero, all these types of people can be frivolous and
can attack. At end of night, your car may come in front of someone else's
car and then someone can start a fight. You do not know who has a firearm
in the car. You could be overwhelmed by attackers and get punched by
a whole bunch of guys. Only you are at fault if you end up in such a situation,
specially as a Guro.

As a Guro you see people from a distance, and never get involved in
anybody's story. And treat all girls and guys as guys, so you simplify your understandings.

That is why people should be aware of their surroundings as much as possible! Most people are oblivious to what's going on around them though. Another thing that can invite attack is when you have $100 dollar bills hanging out of your pockets...I had to stop that a long time ago.
